Town of Oliver

Oliver is nestled deep within the towering Ironclad Mountains, a jagged range with jagged peaks piercing the sky. The town sprawls across a series of interconnected valleys, carved out over centuries by natural erosion and ancient earthquakes. Massive caves and tunnels snake beneath the mountains, some serving as homes, others as secret passageways or lairs for mythical creatures.

Long ago, Oliver was a mere scattering of primitive ogre tribes living in harmony with nature. Legend speaks of a cataclysmic event – the Great Eruption – that reshaped the mountains and sealed underground sanctuaries. From the ash and lava, mineral-rich veins formed, attracting miners and craftspeople. The ogres, naturally resilient, adapted quickly, turning their rugged environment into a fortress of strength and resilience.

Over centuries, the ogres built their town within the mountains, carving out tunnels and establishing a society centered around mining, smithing, and warfare. They worship mountain spirits and ancient giants, believing their strength and endurance are gifts from these primordial beings.

The ogres formed alliances with subterranean and mythical creatures to defend their home and expand their influence. Some tales whisper of a pact with fire spirits to forge legendary weapons, while others tell of a guardian stone drake that watches over their mines.

Today, Oliver remains a hardy, self-sufficient town, wary of outsiders but fiercely protective of their heritage. They trade rare minerals and enchanted stones with surface dwellers, while secretly guarding ancient secrets buried deep within the mountains.
