The Reader’s Oath

"Draw not for vanity, nor to bind another's fate,
but to listen where words fail."

Those who bear the Arcana are called Walkers of the Veil.
Before their first reading, they must light five candles - red for Flame, blue for Tide, green for Vein, white for Whisper, and violet for Shadow - and speak the Oath of Balance:

"I am the Wanderer and the Witness.
I see, but do not command.
I reveal, but do not judge.
I draw in reverence of the Realms and the breath that binds them."
