The Birth of the Arcana

In the first dawn, before the counting of stars, the guardians quarreled. Each claimed dominion over the heart of creation: Will, Emotion, Life, Thought, or Death.

Their conflict shattered the harmony of Realms. The World Tree, in sorrow, shed twenty-two golden leaves – each imbued with a fragment of divine order. These became the Major Arcana, the eternal archetypes that bind the five forces into one harmony.

When mortals came into being, these leaves whispered to them in dreams, calling them to carve their likenesses upon cards of bark, stone, and bone. Thus the Tarot of the Realms was born – not as prophecy alone, but as a tool by which mortals might rethread the fabric of fate.
