From the hidden folios of the Kenttra Grimoire Recorded in moon-blood and candle soot; written without ink, spoken without breath.
I. Before the Moons Were Two
Before the world remembered its name, there was only the hum - a soundless rhythm, a current of becoming.
From that current emerged one souk, unformed yet aware,
a flicker of thought born between the pulse of light and its echo.
She called herself The Silent One, for speech was unknown and song too heavy.
Her silence was not absence, but fullness - the language of creation before the first sound was spoken.
It was in this vast hush that the Twin Serpents, Zakia and Malachai, first took shape, coiling from her stillness, drinking her quiet.
From her essence they learned balance - the harmony that would one day birth the Moonlit Child.
Thus, she was mother not of flesh, but of calm - the first rhythm beneath the gods' breath.
II. The Vow of Unmaking
When Zakia and Malachai ascended as divine opposites,
their union threatened to tear the veil of sound and stillness apart.
The Silent One knelt before them,
her body woven from candle smoke and river mist,
and offered her vow:
"Let my voice be the silence between you. Let mu absence be your bond."
In that vow she sacrificed her name,
becoming The Silent High Witch -
the keeper of restraint, the soul between divine pulse and mortal yearning.
Her silence became law.
Her stillness became the measure of divinity.
Every spell cast, every prayer whispered, echoed her sacrifice.
And when mortals invoked her name,
their words fell into stillness -
the mark of her acceptance.
III. The Dream of the Moonlit Child
A thousand years passed,
and within her bound silence she dreamed -
a dream of light shaped like a child,
half fire, half shadow,
whose eyes carried both dawn and ruin.
She saw the mark of the Twin Serpents upon his skin
and knew that from him the balance would be reborn.
From this vision came the first prophecy,
etched by her unspoken will upon the bones of the world:
"When silence finds its voice in moonlight, the heavens shall turn once more."
Thus was the coming of Bramwell Zuwa foretold.
Thus was her silence seeded in his breath.
IV. The Silence That Bore the World
When the First Eclipse descended and Lady Zakia wept,
the Silent High Witch stood unseen,
her presence the hush that steadied the trembling sky.
Her silence gathered into a cradle of still air that wrapped the newborn Moonlit Child.
In thet instant, her vow fulfilled itself -
her quiet became his first breath,
her essence, his conscience.
He would never speak without remembering her restraint;
he would never act without he calm.
Thus she lived through him,
the invisible half of his divinity.
V. The Reclamation of Her Voice
When thirty years had passed and the Moonlit Child returned to the divine realm,
the Silent High Witch awoke beneath the world.
The moons trembled; the Serpent Veve blazed upon the heavens.
Drawn by the resonance of his ascension,
she rose through the Bridge in her true form - now witch, not goddess, but Silence given light.
As Bramwell reached the Throne, she appeared before him - a figure of translucent calm.
He bowed his head, for he recognized the rhythm in his own heart.
He said, soflty: "You are the breath between my words".
And in that moment, the vow broke.
Her silence dissolved into starlight.
The heavens rang with a sound that was not sound -
the echo of fulfillment.
She did not reclaim speech;
she became the tone that underlies all sound, the unseen happy with every voice.
VI. The Eternal Watch
After the Eclipse and the birth of the Serpent Circle,
the Silent High Witch withdrew once more.
But now she dwelt in every hush before creation,
in the pause before prophecy,
in the moment when moonlight and darkness meet and decide to coexist.
The Choir call her Mother of Restraint.
The witches of Kenttra whisper her name before spellwork,
that no magic may unbalance the scales.
And when the moons align,
a single phrase appears written in dew upon the serpent-veined earth:
"Be still, for the Witch watches."
